# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The color alone makes it a showstopper at any gathering, turning ordinary moments into something festive
  • Its naturally caffeine free so everyone can enjoy it, even the kids
  • You can make a big batch ahead and keep it in the fridge for those surprise summer visitors
02 -
  • Hibiscus stains everything it touches—countertops, clothes, white dish towels. Work with it like you would red wine or beet juice.
  • The longer it sits, the more the citrus flavor infuses. I make mine the night before for parties, and it tastes even better.
03 -
  • Buy dried hibiscus in bulk from international markets—the markup at specialty stores is ridiculous
  • Use a vegetable peeler to create long ribbons of citrus zest instead of slices for a more elegant presentation
